As I reflect on this past week, we are all in business to succeed. One of our focuses at Dynamic Designs, is helping other businesses. We believe that if our clients are successful, we’ll be successful. How true, right? So, here are just two tips that you can do to help your client’s succeed.
Tip #1) Share your knowledge with clients. I truly enjoy helping others. Whether, I take the time to show a client a new app on my phone that has helped me get organized, or show them how to create a newsletter in Constant Contact, or shared with them information about where to place a help wanted ad, and then shared their information within my social media groups, I’ve helped my client. I’ve taken time to strengthen that relationship with them, and that is in the end one of the greatest things you can do for your business. Remember, people buy from people they know, like and trust.
Tip #2) Refer business. As I delivered proposals and sent out estimates this week, I did find out that some of our business we received was directly related to a current client. I’m talking about referrals. One of the greatest gifts we can sincerely give is a true blue referral. If you believe in your clients, and know their business and like them, let people know that are truly interested.
Tip #3) If you mess up, make it right, make them remember you! True story. I messed up and didn’t get a client something they needed for a trade show in time. So, the only option I had was to overnight some promotional products to our client directly to the trade show. They absolutely needed these items for their success at the show. So, not only did I overnight the product, I stopped at the local donut shop before I sent them and also had a dozen donuts delivered by 8:00 a.m. the following morning. The text message I got the following morning, was “thanks for the donuts!.” It was a big price to pay for shipping the product and donuts overnight (UPS loves us), but the most important thing to remember is that we didn’t loose our customer, and that my friends is priceless.
It’s all about people helping people. Your clients may not remember what you sold them, or how much money they spent, but they will remember how you made them feel, or how you treated them. And that’s what its about, creating relationships that turn into sales. If they know, like and trust you, they will buy from you!
